8th Annual
March for Meals
benefiting The Helm Meals on Wheels Program
begins March 1.
(Or whenever you care to donate!)
Thank you for ensuring homebound seniors in the Grosse Pointes and Harper Woods are not forgotten.
The 8th Annual March for Meals benefiting The Helm Meals on Wheels program is a virtual walk. You can march, walk, run, bike, skip, jump, or hop on the sidewalk, a treadmill, or in your backyard. Or you don’t have to walk at all. However you choose to support us is your secret!
All walk proceeds benefit the Meals on Wheels program at The Helm. In 2025, we delivered 33,000 meals to homebound Harper Woods and Grosse Pointe residents unable to safely prepare meals for themselves. That is 10,000 more than just five years ago! As our population continues to age, the need for Meals on Wheels continues to grow.
The price of food has impacted the cost of Meal on Wheels. It now costs $7 to provide one meal.
$1,000 provides 140 meals.
$500 provides 70 meals.
$250 provides 35 meals.
You name will be displayed below.*
* The names of donors contributing $250 or more also will be listed in the July-September The Helm Life Journal.
